Rosa (Cutri) Attardo, age 81 of Watertown, passed away on Saturday February 7, 2026. Beloved wife of 57 years to Alfonso Attardo. Loving mother to Antonio & his wife Kathleen. Cherished Nonna to Antonio D. Attardo & Brianna Attardo. Dear sister of Catena Cutri & her late husband Rocco, Maria Russo & her late husband Arnaldo, Sara Borelli & her late husband Antonio and the late Domenica Guerra & her husband Domenico.
Rosa was a devoted wife, loving family matriarch, and a kind, generous soul whose life revolved around faith, family, and hard work. Born in Italy to the late Domenico and Francesca (Tigani) Cutri. Rosa immigrated to the United States in 1961, carrying with her strong values, a deep Catholic faith, and a passion for building a meaningful life. Her husband had arrived earlier, in 1959, and the two were introduced through Alfono's sister Cathy. Their meeting marked the beginning of a beautiful love story, and they were married in 1968, sharing 57 years of marriage rooted in love, commitment, and family.
Rosa was the proud owner of Rosa’s Beauty Salon, which she operated with dedication and pride for 40 years. Her salon was more than a business—it was a place of connection, conversation, and care. After decades of hard work, she passed the business on to her niece, a transition that reflected her love for family and her desire to see the salon continue on through the next generation.
A talented and passionate cook, Rosa found joy in preparing meals for those she loved. Her kitchen was the heart of her home, where family gathered, traditions were shared, and memories were made. Above all else, Rosa’s life was her family, and she devoted herself fully to their happiness and well-being.
Rosa’s Catholic faith was central to her life, guiding her values and actions. She lived with kindness, generosity, and quiet strength, touching the lives of all who knew her.
Family and friends are welcome to come celebrate Rosa’s life by gathering for visiting hours in the Nardone Funeral Home, 373 Main St. WATERTOWN on Sunday February 15, 2026 from 2-5 PM and again on Monday February 16. 2026 at 9 AM followed by a 10 AM funeral mass in St. Patrick’s Church - Watertown.
